ELIGIBILITY: Entry purchaser, and anyone to whom an entry purchaser legally transfers an entry, must be either a business entity or an individual 21 years or older and a legal U.S. resident at the time of entry purchase. Original entry purchaser must be present in the state of Arizona at the time of entry purchase. Arizona residency is not required. Tickets may be purchased from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona (RMHC) by phone at (602) 798-5097, online at rmhccnaz.ejoinme.org/McNightRaffle, or at the Ronald McDonald House located at 501 E. Roanoke Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85004. Tickets must be purchased with cash, by separate check or charged to a credit card, and cannot be combined with purchase of table reservations. Entry purchaser is responsible for providing a valid name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number at the time of purchase. Raffle tickets stubs cannot be mailed. Entry purchaser will solely receive a purchase confirmation number by mail. A confirmation number is not required to claim a prize.
AGREEMENT TO ABIDE BY OFFICIAL RULES: Each eligible person who enters the raffle agrees that his or her entry into the raffle operates as their full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. Also, by entering the raffle, each person agrees to perform all conditions and obligations required by these Official Rules. Winning the prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
DRAWING: Only 2,500 tickets will be sold at two price points: single tickets for $20 and 6 for $100. RMHC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible or non-delivered entries. Any mutilated, incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. All entries purchased prior to the Gala and at the Gala will be entered in the drawing to be held on November 10, 2018.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: Winner need not be present to win. Winner not present at time of drawing will be notified by phone and/or mail no later than November 12, 2018. Winner will select one (1) of the four (4) vacation packages offered and MUST notify RMHC of their selection by November 30, 2018. Once a prize selection has been confirmed there will be no returns or exceptions. Winner will be e-mailed a booking voucher with prize redemption instructions. Please allow 2-3 weeks from time of prize selection to receive a booking voucher. Once the winner receives their booking voucher, they can immediately begin redemption process.
TAX & IRS RULES: All proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona, a non-profit organization operating under paragraph 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and the laws of the State of Arizona. Winner shall be responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prize. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.
IMPORTANT: Federal law requires that corresponding tax withholding on prize values in excess of $5,000 must be collected from winners upon award and distribution. Federal and state withholding laws are subject to change without notice. The withholding laws in effect at the time prizes are claimed will be followed. Before claiming a prize valued at $5,000 or greater, the winner will provide and complete a W-9 Form and write a check payable to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona in the amount calculated for tax withholding (withholding percentage of the fair market value of the prize less the cost of the raffle ticket), which will be paid directly to the Internal Revenue Service. If prize winner is unable to comply with payment of the required withholding amount, the result is condition for denial of the prize.
PRIZE SPECIFIC INFO:
Rome and Tuscany Culinary Escape – Package includes a 7-night stay including daily breakfast for two: 2-night stay in a superior double room (one queen bed or two twin beds) at Hotel Ponte Sisto and a 5-night stay in a deluxe room (one king or two twin beds) for two at the Renaissance Tuscany II Ciocco Resort and Spa, in the province of Lucca; Lunch, tour of the wine cellar and olive oil press, and tasting for two at Fattoria Colleverde (Lucca), available April through early November (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, excluding Easter Monday). During winter months, an alternate culinary experience or cooking class at the Renaissance can be arranged. NOTE: Ground transportation is not included in the package. Tuscany is 200 miles north of Rome, approximately 4 hours by car or 3 hours by train. For your convenience, you may wish to split your stay at Hotel Ponte Sisto so you have one night at the beginning of your trip and one night at the end in Rome.
Costa Rica Getaway – Package includes: a total of 7 nights in a standard guest room at your choice of participating Marriott Resorts in Costa Rica: Los Suenos Marriott Ocean and Golf Resort (Playa Herradura) or J.W. Marriott Guanacaste Resort and Spa (Tamarindo). Standard guest room styles vary by property. Subject to availability and cannot be used during hotel special events. Transportation between two resorts is not included. Guests responsible for daily resort fee. Hotel blackout dates (subject to change): Los Suenos: Dec 21, 2018 - Jan 4, 2019; Guanacaste: Dec 23, 2018 - Apr 14, 2019. Similar blackout dates in 2020 may apply.
Washington, D.C. Private Historian’s U.S. Capitol Tour – Package includes: a 5-night stay in one standard Fairmont room (two double beds) including daily breakfast for two; a tour for four of The Capitol as members of the U.S. Capitol Historical Society with the Society’s Chief Guide, and an option to dine at a famous Capitol Hill restaurant (cost of meal not included in package). This unique experience will be guided by historian Steve Livengood, who has more than 40 years of studying and observing the Congress and its activities, the Presidents who have come and gone, and the workings of the most successful democratic society in human history. Note: If Mr. Livengood is not available on the day of your tour, your guide will be a former Member of Congress, retired official of the House of Representatives, or another experienced Capitol Hill veteran.
Nashville Unplugged – Package includes: a 5-night stay for four in two standard guest rooms at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel situated in the heart of the business district within walking distance to Music City Center and attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, B.B. King's Blues Club, and the Historic Second Avenue District. Subject to availability; not available during country music award shows, other blackouts may apply; A self-guided audio tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame and a guided backstage tour of the dressing rooms at the Ryman Auditorium, considered the Mother Church of Country Music, longtime home of the Grand Ole Opry and recently voted as the finest concert venue in the U.S. Also included is admission for a self-guided tour of the museum.

AIRFARE: All packages include round-trip coach class service. Airfare included in the selected prize package must be booked within one year from the date of prize selection. Subject to availability. Airfare taxes and a $25 per person processing fee are the responsibility of the winner. Business and First-Class upgrades are available at the time of booking for an additional fee at winner’s expense. Use of frequent flyer miles for upgrades is dependent on specific ticket restrictions as determined by the airline’s frequent flyer program.
BOOKING & CONCIERGE SERVICE: Packages include Booking & Concierge Service from Winspire, a team of seasoned travel professionals who will help the prize winner redeem their selected experience. All travel related details and reservations are handled for every part of the Winspire experience. Winspire can assist with extra hotel nights, airfare upgrades, and additional guests at winner’s expense. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Prize must be booked a minimum of 60 days in advance of trip. Reservations are subject to availability and may be substituted for comparable or better property. Package inclusion and availability are subject to change. Certificates cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. All packages are non-refundable. Any local transportation between resort properties, activities, and cities is not included with any of the packages and is the responsibility of the winner.
